freitasm: That specific model? Probably yes. From that specific source? Probably SIM locked to AT&T.

I recall they mentioned specifically that the phones from the Microsoft store would be unlocked during their CES coverage.

My N8 appears to have expelled its last breath. Neither network are indicating availability on their websites for the Lumia 800, does anyone have an idea when it will be available, otherwise I may just get another SII.

Does the Lumia 800 have tethering now? (I've learned from Nokia N8 and HTC Trophy that if a phone doesn't have something you want right now, don't buy it as promises of "coming soon" are like promises of world peace).

As I understand it , you can tether it to a laptop , for example, but not use it as a wifi access point

Nokia have promised that an update that enabled WiFi Internet Sharing is coming soon

you can't tether the phone over USB and surf the Internet from the phones 3G

Currently my HTC Trophy (VF) allows neither, are you stating this can be done or could be done (if VF allow it)?

Hey guys, sorry if this bumps, but where can I get the US variant of this phone (800) in NZ? Looked everywhere:

• European Variant - WCDMA HSPA 900/1900/2100 MHz (RM-801)
• US Variant - WCDMA HSPA 850/1900/2100 MHz (RM-819)

You mean 850MHz... Telecom NZ will start selling it, both Nokia Lumia 800 (black, blue) and Nokia Lumia 710 (black).

Please continue on the Nokia Lumia Owner's Thread and make sure you read the first post.
