robax: ... even phone options such as the ability to auto-upload images at full size.

That's because some "genius" seating in a Microsoft office in Seattle decided that anyone outside the US wouldn't be allowed to auto upload full size images. Because, you know, they know everything the customer wants.

There was a great 3rd party app call BBCNews mobile which was pulled from the store only last week after being there for nearly 2 years. It was pulled because BBC complained.

Do whatever you want to do man.

This is an option that the carriers control, just like the maximum file size you can download over mobile broadband vs wifi

There is lots of open head count in the Windows Phone team if you're interested in applying

That's a stupid option to leave it option to carriers. It shows once again when it comes to mobile, Microsoft's real customers are the carriers, not the end users.

I'd love to. Also know this would be the most frustrating job in the world for someone playing Devil's Advocate for the end user.

if you've saved them as +6421xx but then ring you while you're in NZ it will come up as 021xxx not their name

Windows Phone lets you save multiple phone numbers per person, so the workaround for now is to save both formats in your phone

Badboy2303: Need to show more demand!

Got the same response last week from National...oops...I mean ANZ.

Obviously much more demand needed! (or the development team are still in a back office somewhere)

Hmmmm....now I'm in a real quandary.....have been seriously toying with either the Nokia 920 or the 820...with a lean towards the 820...but....

Should I go now, or wait for the next generation, after which hopefully some of the teething problems discussed in these forums have been resolved??

Now I see the Nokia 'Catwalk' has been leaked for release in June/July this year.  Believed to officially be named the Nokia 928 (no resemblance to the Porsche though Cool)

Oh well.......more pondering and procrastinating I guess  Undecided
