Ah, thanks. I only have three apps, Swype, Big Screen and Joiku Spot, it's the latter that's missing. I checked online to confirm that it's on my purchases list, but it does not come up on Nokia Store (I upgraded from OVI Store)?

You should have the free version anyway.  Might you have bought the paid version directly from the Joiku site? If so they will have emailed you a copy of the transaction and an unlock key.  If you still have a copy just re enter the unlock code.

Some time back I had the same happen as Joikuspot Premium was on my purchased list but not in my list of my applications in the store. When I came to need to reinstall it I did not try to get it resolved through the store customer help as I had got it for practically nothing on a special so just bought it again (albeit not so special). Also, I did wonder, but probably wrongly, if the low price I got it for originally did not entitle me to updates and that was why it disappeared.

Since then it has stayed on my stores list and the recent update (to 3.2 from memory) has also been offered.

I paid the handsome sum of $15.00 which appears on my Nokia Store purchase history, but not my applications. Last time I managed to get an email to someone in what I suspect was Philippines and they called me and sent a text with a link that installed it for me, how I made that contact is eluding me.

I wipe my devices every couple of months as they fill up with rubbish software that never uninstalls properly and eventually the whole phone grinds to a halt, hence I would like the previously purchased applications to be easily (and selectively) installed.

OK. Have had a check through my accounts and I payed $5 in March this year and then $8 to replace it in late August.  Still comes up as being $8 in the shop now.

I don't know how it works but seems it is usually much cheaper in the shop than from the developer's own site.

EDIT: Meant to add I am pretty sure there is a customer service link for the shop - if not on the phone shop app then on the web site under Support.

Thanks, I found the support link and submitted a request, will wait and see if anything happens.

From what I can see it's probably due to JoikuSpot needing you to pay for the upgrades.

I would hope they can assist via their support pages.

Thanks, I think the cost/benefit of chasing this cannot be justified, $8 has now been spent.

N8 has decided to no longer charge. Plugged in power to both connectors and no charge. I cannot hard-reset it as that deletes libraries it needs, is there a soft-reset (not the four finger death sentence) you can use when the phone is not responding?

Note: The white LED beside the MicroUSB connector is blinking when I connect the USB cable, so I believe the phone is in there somewhere and getter a completed circuit but not responding. Maybe gone into low power mode and stuck there?

Not sure what you have tried so far, but holding the power button down for about 10 seconds has helped me in the past a few times.

Does anyone know of a smartphone with a camera close to that of the N8, especially with a flash rather than a LED?

Did you finally kill the N8?

It killed itself, sadly, I had just got it flashed into a good state. Grrr, maybe Nokia hates me since I've been unfaithful and trying other handsets ;-)

I just bought another N8 for my brother. It will stop him texting in the car!
