lueyyou: Yeah it is disappointing, but Windows Phone 8 has a better update delivery system right?

paulspain: Update ready here now on Nokia Lumia 800. Sadly due to ADSL being down here can't try it out.

wasabi2k: and the stepson's telecom 800 on a vodafone SIM gets the update before me!
THE INJUSTICE!
GregV: No update (Samsung Omnia W on VF). Tried the cable trick a few times, but no joy. Guess I'll try again tomorrowAnd one last cable pull has seen me heading for 8858
EDIT - Tried one more time, and it is now updating to 8779
EDIT - One more cable pull, and I'm up to 8783
Litespeed: Well, I tried the disconnect trick a bunch more times and finally got it to update all the way through to 7.8.
Tricks I used:
- put the phone in airplane mode
- click the Update link, open the WiFi network connection, count to SIX then hit disconnect.
It really does seem to come down to the time between clicking update and disconnecting so once you've found he magic number for your setup, it's easy to repeat.
