My wife's 920 was updated this afternoon. Now she cannot send or receive MMS.  Any ideas?

Get her to download this application

http://www.windowsphone.com/en-gb/store/app/lumia-system-updater/5be8fe18-6c8c-4339-b689-a8024cd4c3f0

Then download the Access Point application. Once installed go to Settings > Access Point and it should work again.

Sometimes the OS update doesn't install the latest version of these standalone updates and reverts to an older version.

Thanks Brent,

I'd already downloaded Access Point. I downloaded Lumia System Updater.

I have been into  Settings > Access Point but still no go.  I've tried rebooting the phone and also removing and re installing the SIM card, still no go.

Should I uninstall Access Point and Lumia System Updater and reinstall in the order you had in your post?

Problem sorted.

Brent in the end I figured that Lumia System Updater was just a way of getting Access Point installed.

With Access Point Installed follow the instructions here. http://help.telecom.co.nz/app/answers/detail/a_id/30919

Scroll down to Steps to follow if "access point" app has been installed

Go to step 7 and add another access point, I call mine Telecom Default. Then enter the data just as described.

Make the new new access point activate; Viola!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

macuser: This is a good link to try if you want to know when the Telecom/Vodafone 520 will have the update    http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-update/wp8-software-update/wp8-availability-in-asia-pacific/

Why does it take Nokia/Vodafone/Telecom etc SO LOOOONNNNG to get the updates out for each model?

What exactly is it that they have to do that causes several months delay?  Surely they could test all models at once and release the updates for all models at the same time.

Or is it a sales/marketing ploy, update the expensive models first, then wait a month or two, and hope that those of us with the cheaper models like the 520 get sick of waiting and buy a 1020/1520 just to get the update?
The Lumia 520 is the only sub $200 phone ever to receive this many updates.  Count your blessings.

There's only been one other update...

Only one 'blessing' to count so far.

No response from Nokia yet...

freitasm: I keep reading other blogs pointing which countries are receiving updates. In the Windows Phone world we are not behind at all.

We (those that are still waiting for the update) are just as far behind as every other country that are still waiting....

Update for 720 on the way
http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_lumia_720_starts_receiving_the_lumia_black_update-news-7710.php

Now if Warehouse ever get to fixing mine ...  Now had it over 5 weeks (battery not charging).   About time to get refund (or an extended warranty at minimum to cover the time I have not had it)?

Lumia Black has been released for Lumia 720 (Hong Kong model I'd say as I bought mine from expansys). Downloading right now. I know Vietnam and Indian Lumia 720's got their updates couple of weeks ago.

Cool, so how do I update? I assume it will just automatically start doing it next time I'm connected to Wifi?

I don't own a Windows Phone but pretty sure there is a 'Phone Update/Software update' setting in settings.  Connect to Wifi and check
