You will be waiting for quite some months before you see Parallel Imported dropping the price down to the $1400 mark. They are "making hay while the sun shines" at the moment but they forget other retailers have the N97 in-stock too.

I have used einfo before. Last year i purchased a nokia N81 and a N82. I am about to return the n81 because the red call button has become hard to use -this is under warranty till end july.

I would recommend them and i am also about to purchase their White N97 this week.

NOTE: there is a company in wellington which sell phones but if you read the fine print they only give you a 3 month warranty! WTF! So just beware when you buy anything to check the length of the warranty.

@jjnz1

Does E-Info actually have the N97 in-stock in-store or do you have to wait for them to bring one over from Asia?

Things to watch for when buying these imported mobiles...

- Where have they imported it from?...
- Does it have Asian characters on the keypad/keystrokes? (you may not want them)
- Does the power lead work with NZ power points, or does it require an adapter?
- Length of the warranty, where it gets serviced
- Does it have an FM transmitter?

I read that E-InfoTech, import from either the US or Europe, which is good, means no Asian charcters...
But that may mean you still require an adapter?

Have either of Voda or Telecom announced if they are picking this up yet?  Obviously they will, just wondering if they've given any sort of heads up.  Have been keeping an eye out but haven't seen anything myself.

Best regards,
Aaron Davidson.

All the hints are that Vodafone will offer it, but still no word yet on pricing or availability.

Not sure about ordering from Plemix.com. Safer to buy in NZ. It is only $1289 now at Phones Direct.
