I'd hide all your personal details, you may get lynched by everyone else in this thread.

Technofreak: Just bought a 32GB one off EBay for $253USD which compares well with the Mobi City price.

I really wish i'd bought a 32gb one now, I got a 16gb one from eBay for $210USD, a little extra and i'd have double the capacity, didn't really think about it at the time.

Are you having it shipped directly to you or via a US address?

It was off a private individual. It was bit of a spur of the moment thing. I had a few spare minutes and went onto Ebay and missed ont when the browser froze, thanks Bill Gates. Then I saw this one closing in 3 minutes so had a go and got it cheaper than the other one. I figure at $253USD it was going to cost about $310 NZD plus postage. Not bad by current prices for a sealed 32Gb.

Need to sort out shipping yet as auction closed late in the day over there. Plan to get it sent direct to me all going well.

I think direct shipping is the way to go, mine's currently in Las Vegas on it's way to Portland, I think shipping from there will be around 45 USD to NZ via DHL, the only issue I have is that it goes through alot of other people / stages before it reaches me, lots of chance for things to go wrong along the way.

Edit: Monday 5th September is a public holiday in the US, my expected delivery to forwarder is tomorrow but they take 1-2 business days to process :/ I wanted to get it by the end of next week but looking unlikely.

azzaj:  At least now i have something to put in the touchstone holder and case that i bought locally.

May I asked where you got your case from? I tried a local place which said they had stock to only to be told they don't after parting with my $$.

Luckily Aquire had a few touchstones left which I received today, but no cases.

Noel leeming, however they dropped off the website the day after i ordered mine (27/08) and went onto backorder but shipped Wednesday and turned up yesterday.

Not looking good for getting one domestically.

I got my case from PB Tech who had only 1 listed left when I brought it yesterday.

Ingram Micro however have plenty of the AC Adapters(80), Keyboards(78), and Touchstones(49) available on their website as of typing this message. I brought the AC Adapter and Touchstone yesterday.
I sure do hope my MobiCity order doesn't fall through now Sealed

^^ This has already been mentioned several pages back and suggestion is that these will be US only. Not even UK looking likely to get any from any last run.

Wow they're still charging full price for their accessories?! Did you pay the full price or was it discounted?

No I am a reseller so I don't pay retail. The numbers in brackets are how many they actually had in stock at the time Tongue out

I realised the numbers in brackets were stock amounts, but I just had a quick look at their website to see it was all still RRP, but I suppose they haven't changed it to reflect clearance pricing they may be offering resellers.

lol!

On a similar thread, HP did try to sue themselves over the TouchPad (from Gizmodo):

The company got wind recently of a fraudulent "HP Refund Program" in Europe, targeting German TouchPad buyers looking to be refunded when that insano fire salekicked off. The questionable site was asking for bank account information, which seemed shady! So HP mobilized its legal team, refusing to let such an affront stand. Except!

Except that the site in question was legit. Contracted by HP to handle the refund process. Totally benign. Oops?

For anyone looking for a case - JB Hifi on queen street officially had at least one now :P (they had maybe 3 or 4 when I bought it originally. Look for them down the far end of the isle where all the laptops are (the laptop stand closest to the door)
