As for me i've decided i'll wait tell he get his one and see what it is like then until i make up my mind i do like
the E90 aswell, for the same price well almost is it just as good to get the E90 least you know its in stores well some of them and or can get it pretty quick. But so typical of my hubby wants it now and i thought i was the only one like that haha!
Considering its only been released today in nz not much news about it at all quiet disapointing about that really... or is that just me? Ohh and i'm from auckland north shore :) great site by the way :)

I don't know how any sane person would buy from Vodafone for that price unless they want to lock themselves into a 24 month contract paying a highly monthly account fee to subsidise the cost.

Also worth noting that even if you pay full price for a handset you will still be signed (in most cases) to a contract anyway, as many iPhone users found out when trying to break away...

I tell ya what !!! we really get ripped off on this country. Either Nokia NZ or Vodafone/Telecom are creaming the coin on these phones.
Off to parallel imports this weekend I feel.

Exactly.

Now that I have a Nokia N97, I have been planning on signing up for Vodafones 3GB data plan, which in turn, requires me to be on account, meaning I would signup for the starter 600 plan, which has a 12 month contract anyway...

Should I want the cheaper data, which would save me $10 monthly, I would have to signup for a 24month contract...

So the way I see it, is if one wants a large data plan...ya gona have no choice but to sign up for a term, so you might as well buy through Vodafone, be supported, and get the subsidy....

Here I have, having brought the mobile outright...and I will still end up signing up to a term off 12 months minimum...don't have a choice if I want a large data plan.

Telecom, maybe on the other hand, do not require signing up for a term...but they are more expensive, and offer less daa (do not offer 'double data')

Hey Thebartender,

Have you updated your firmware to v11 that is released today? Any improvements in performance and stability?

Oh...and that said...I'm new to Symbian...so without searching for the answers first as I should, does anyone know the answers to these questions:

How do you select text or images, copy and paste text, and save images etc?
I notice that the device is set to 1-click by default, which makes it harder to select images one wants to save...but I dont know how to save yet anyway...but I assume someqwhere in the settings I can change it to be 2-click?

I think my N97 (and maybe Bartenders) is from asia. I know for a fact that nokia were not allowed/ or didnt want to release further firmware updates for the Asian N81. The N81 I have, had to have its product code changed to get the update.

Hopefully those same practices are not at play again here!!!
