HI guys I'm trying to install Preware - so far I've got the WebOSQuickInstall installed on my PC, with teh touchpad disconnected. Following the instructions here http://forums.precentral.net/hp-touchpad-apps/289569-simple-steps-install-webosquickinstaller-prewar... I can get to the globe icon and receive a list of apps, then I click on "preware" but after I click on Install, I get an error, Invalid or Corrupt Package org.webosinternals.preware_1.7.5_arm.ipk
I've tried quiet a few things now but get this error every time. Suggestions? Hanging out to get preware installed.
Has anyone else succeeded in using Barnacle WiFi tether? I can tether from my cell to a netbook just fine but the touchpad just won't see the wireless Barnacles network.
Also, and this may just be me, but my touchpad only seems to autocharge on the touchstone when either in portrait orientation, or only one way in landscape. If I turn it around the other way (so if in teh cover, the flap is on the top) it doesn't charge at all. It's fine in landscape the other way around with teh cover on or off, but won't with teh cover on or off the other way up?
none on mine but ring them and sort it, be interesting to see what they offer you because they are covered under warranty I see others on pre central getting free cases to replacements
Is anyone else using Quick Event? I like the option that lets me enter an appointment really quickly, but after installing it from Preware, I get an app.palm.calendar service not running...want to use it but doesn't work.
Does anyone know how to stop the Wi-Fi from turning off when the screen turns off? Apparently I'm disconnecting from MSN whenever I'm idle for more than a couple of minutes.
On a related note, can anyone suggest an MSN client? I'm currently using LiveGo but the UI is very clunky on a TouchPad!
Sorry to keep asking questions guys, but has anyone actually managed to delete an empty of full photo Album? I sure can't, it just keeps appearing in Photos...
By all reports it seems to 'speed up' browsing noticeably.
@fab - Pretty sure you will have to remove the folder in PC USB mode, or via a File Manager (like Internalz)
Yup - tried that too using Internalz, still can't delete the album from Libraries an Albums - even the photos show, even though teh entire folder has been deleted. If I try and delete all the photos showing in teh album from teh album, just get a delete error.
