Just got some questions about the 6600...

1) Whats the max range of it's bluetooth?

2) Does wap2.0 work on Vodafone NZ yet?

3) How do java games perform? any lag?

4) Can you control your pc from a 6600? (like the pc control app on christersson.org)

5) Does can this app be controlled thru bt? link

6) Is it true u can play N-gage games on it? how do they run?

7) Whats the largest mmc card u can use on it? I heard it was 256mb.

8) Does it take anything else apart from mmc?

9) Is it nice to hold and use? it looks quite wide and thick and the keys look a bit small and crampt.

10) Where can I download themes?

11) Does smartlauncher really make the menu load faster?

12) Is it possible to share your pc's adsl connection with the 6600 instead of using GPRS?

13) Is there a limit on the amount of time u can record videos for?

14) Can you view mpg or avi or does it only accept rm?

15) how does the screen look? in most screenshots it looks quite pale and dull.

16) Are there any faceplates or keypads available? if not, when will there be?

17) Do you have to use PC Suite to transfer files? can you send both ways?

18) Do pics/music/video take up more space than they are? On SE phones they're triple the amount they normally are to be viewed in raw mode or something (eg 10kb > 30kb)

19) Does it have a built in html browser? if not, are there any apps for it?

20) hows the battery life?

21) is the joystick easy to use? it looks quite small and deeper than the se ones.

22) hows the mp3 quality?

23) can you listen to mp3s on thru a headset or some kind of earphones?

24) what does 6600 have that 3650 doesn't?

25) does the text input lag?

26) is the camera good at taking pictures close range and far?

27) which resolutions can u use for taking pictures and videos?

28) is it possible to add more ram?

29) how much memory does it have? some say 4, 6 or 12mb.

30) for all the people who have a 6600, are you happy overall with it?

thanks for any help.

Some answers:

1) Probably 10m. All mobile phones are 10m.

2) Have a look in this thread.

5) Possibly. I've seen this program on the Symbian UIQ and it's really cool.

12) I've received a private message where the users pointed to an e-mail where it's discussed that, unlike other Symbian smartphones, the Nokia 6600 is now blocking the connection to mRouter, preventing the use of your wired connection. Not sure if this is 100% accurate, since not all programs can use the mRouter connection currently on the Nokia 3650 anyway: Opera and the builtin programs don't, Agile Messenger and Access Netfront do.

The list of devices coming my way from Vodafone currently does not include the Nokia 6600 - but I'll see what can be done in the future...

I found a bunch of themes for free here. http://nokia6600.dunno.be/ I tried a few and they were good.

I have had the 6600 for a week now and i am very happy with it - lots better than my old nokia 7250.

After playing around with settings for a while i managed to get the Opera Web Viewer (pre loaded app) going, it runs sweet!...loads up pages very nice!.

Videos record for 9 seconds max, but there is a video editing app (also pre loaded) which allows you to join them up.

I downloaded a good multi media converter from http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/0,,034-63,00.html here you can convert mpeg, avi, mp3 files etc to send to device - works great.

Pictures look good on screen (after being use to 7250 any thing would do i suppose).

The only thing is not being able to pxt at this stage....which sounds like it is very close anyway.
