Hi,
I have a problem. When I use Active Sync USB wired, everything is fine.

But when I try to use bluetooth, it is not possible.

Notebook:
- Win XP SP2
- (preinstalled) Widcomm Bluetooth Software and integrated Broadcom BT

PDA iPAQ rw6815
- WM 5

Now whats happening, when I try to connect from notebook. Both notebook and pda seems to be paired well. COM port 7 is set as incomming port in PDA, as (outgoing??) port in Widcomm BT soft and also in Active Sync. When i try to connect throug BT serial port using Widcomm BT soft, the BT icon in system tray changes to green and I am getting the message that a connection using COM port 7 has been set.

When I want to connect through Active Sync, the icon changes to green but after short time I am getting back the message that it can not connect.

Where is the problem?

On the other hand, COM port 8 is set in Widcomm as (incomming??) port on notebook. On PDA the only port I can set as outgoing in Active Sync is 6 (other ports are not accepted). When I try to connect from PDA, notebooks tells me that there is connection through COM8, but Active Sync still does not work.

I really have no idea what to do.

Or is there any other software to use instead of Active Sync (something like floats software for Sony Ericsson phones?).

Welcome to Geekzone

carpenter: Where is the problem?

In your configuration. Check our Bluetooth Guides for instructions.

First you have to configure ActiveSync on your PC to use an Incoming (Server) COM port. Then you have to create the pairing from your Pocket PC. Once you do this, it will automatically detect ActiveSync. That's all you need to do.

There's no COM port configuration required on your Pocket PC, and it doesn't matter what COM ports are configured on your Pocket PC.

Great! Now it works, and how easy it was!

By the way, now when I am connected, is there an application for SMS writing on PC and sending through BT connected PDA with GSM?

Thanks!

Hmmm. There's Jeyo Mobile Companion. It will work over any ActiveSync connection.
