I have a PalmVIIx and I have WinXP Pro my issue is that I have my palm on my cradle plugged in to my serial port. I can Hot Sync. What I want to know is how can get on my network with the palm to get internet. What I've done so far is Set up my user name in the Network tab and set the connection to serial. Service is untitled. I have PPP connection type. I have set the DNS servers to the external ones. IP address is automaticly. Idle timeout 1 min. That is how I have it setup. I put my user name in that is Jose and blank password. On the PC side I set up an incoming connection to use COM 1 allow PDA's to connect without password option. I'm getting that same error: ppp timeout (0x1231). How do I get this to work.

Hi,

Nice to know I am not alone. You might want to have a look at the issue posted by Blue4u which may have some useful information also if you haven't looked at them already I found the Bluetooth Guides a useful place to start troubleshooting Internet Service sharing problems, good luck

You can't access the internet from your Palm over the cradle as it is. You need a third part software, like Softick PPP.
