Hi, my T2 just packed in completely and I bought a replacement from Ebay. It works perfectly and as I had everything from my old T2 backed up to the SD card, I was soon up and running. The BIG problem I have, however, is that Palm Desktop will not recognise it when I try to hotsync! I've tried everything from unplugging it from the usb socket, and restarting the PC, then plugging it in again, to uninstalling Palm Desktop, downloading it from Palm, and reinstalling it. Nothing works. I have Card Export, from Softick, and the PC recognises that, so I can add books and the like, but to add new apps. I need to be able to hotsync. Can anybody help? I'm at my wit's end!

there's a big label on palms out of the box, warning "Install software before plugging in"

could it be you've not done that?

Hi Taniwha, thanks for this; I got some help from the Brighthands forum and yes, it was a driver problem. What was confusing me was the fact that I already had Palm Desktop installed, but I had to reinstall the driver and then it worked. maybe this will be of help to somebody else sometime.
