Wondering which apps people are using to make the experience of doing anything that isn't using the camera less awful?

So far I have replaced stock browser with Opera Mobile and stock keyboard with Swpye, and also found a good RSS reader in gNewsReader.

Other suggestions?

Can you please tell me that what size in KB or MB are the photos when taken at 5MP, 8MP, 34MP and 38MP? Also do the photos looks better when taken at 5MP or 8MP? I read theverge.com review and they said only at 5MP resolution, 41MP action kicks in.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Not had a lot of time to try it out yet, but from everything I've seen the best results are at 5mp.

5mp shots are in the 1.2-1.5mb range and are spectacular. Incredible detail capture and lack of noise.

HI,

Dragging this thread back to life :).

Yes got a 808 also and on the hunt for better software.

I hear also that FP2 is due in September which will bring some needed updates.

Have you had any luck with skype?

I have installed photo viewer2 to get some more functionality out of the gallery.

Cheers

$1000.

Parallel Imports on queens street.

Price will start to drop soon.

Great camera... I mean Im really happy with it, and wont be bothering with any digi handy camera.
Needed a new camera as last canon was giving up. It was 8mp and so far i am getting better piont and shoot off this.

Hardware differences from the N8 and haven't looked but understand this is faster... what ever that really means, from some quick reviews i read.

Cheers

I too am considering one, they are showing up as $839 on Mobicity now though I'm not sure whats in the box and how much extra is needed.
Think I'll wait till closer to Xmas to see what happens, the amount of Symbian activity is really starting to dry up now.
That Camera is very appealing though.
Whats the battery life like?

Mobicity ships from AU, so youl pay customs, and miss out on consumer guaranty act. I looked at this and opted for local.

Battery life 2 to 3 days.

Bounces off concrete from waist height and doesnt seem to mind too much :( other than case marks.

Cheers
