:azz: I have been running my Axim as a Navigation system in my Ford van. I have a powered mount, without speakers, for the X30H. I use a BT GPS and hear the turn by turn instructions over my radio via a cassette adapter from the Axim headphone jack. I am thinking about buying a Bluetooth enabled stereo. Sony  Mex-BT5000.  I don't really get what the bluetooth system can and can't do. Can I have my Axim receiving a GPS signal via bluetooth and also send the turn by turn guidance, voice commands to a bluetooth enabled stereo via bluetooth? What about if I toss a bluetooth telephone into the mixture?  I hope my question is somewhat clear. Thanks for any help and advice that you can offer.

Out of the box the Axim X30 does not support Bluetooth audio - even less Bluetooth stereo. To do this you could use a device like the Bluetake BT420rx i-Phono. It's a Bluetooth stereo headset but instead of connecting to your Dell Axim it wirelessly connects to a "dongle". The dongle in turn plugs into the headphone jack in your Dell Axim.

The Sony Mex-BT5000 won't work with your Pocket PC in this scenario.

When you say that,  "Out of the box the Axim X30 does not support Bluetooth audio" do you mean that I can get it to do that?

I have been trying to enable A2DP on my Axim X30, WM2003SE, ROM 06, by using the iPAQ Bluetooth Stereo Headphones Driver Update. According to some on Aximsite can work.  So far, I haven't had luck with the hack. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I keep getting an error message that says, "File "\Windows\ BtCeAvIf.dll is in use or in ROM. If the file is not in ROM please close the application using the file." Any knowledge of this particular hack? (if it is correct to call it that).
  Thanks

I meant that you can get it if you use additional hardware - such as the one I linked before...

I just used a mini-jac cable.
I have an Orb server at home which houses & surves all my mp3s. I use either gprs or one of the thousands of open wifis i find in the car to connect to the orb server and stream the music at like 35kbps.

Shoosh I dont mind 35-40kbps audio. When its free that is.
