Hi, anyone know of any GPRS problems, or where on the k-jam I can see a log of the gprs connections?

I tell my machine to connect via IE, or outlook and it says connecting for a really long time (The g with the rolling arrows) then after about 5 mins it drops back to the regular big G and it's not connected.

Anyone know anything I can try?

Have it ever worked before? If yes, and you have not changed any settings then I'd say a network problem.

If you have changed settings, then it's something wrong in the configuration. Quick check: make sure both Internet and Work settings are configurd to use the same connection, and make sure the connection is configured to a valid APN name.

yeah it has worked.  I don't remember having played with any of the gprs connections lately.  Have had a look around the network cards.

My Work and Internet GPRS settings are different.
The Internet GPRS - is called VFNZ Internet and the APN is www.vodafone.net.nz

The work is called VFNZ Gateway and the APN is live.vodafone.com

It did this after I got the automatic settings for MMS (created the work connection I mean).  But it's been like this for months.

So when i do a send receive on Outlook - it using the GPRS Internet one.  I get the little box saying connecting then that's about it.

Would the help desk be any use or a shop??

I think it's just a temporary network problem, since it worked before. Try a soft reset right now, and if it doesn't connect, wait a couple of hours and try again. If it's a network issue it could be gone then.

Good luck if you decide to call the help desk...

Yeah, cheers Wink

There was a helpful chap in the VF in the Old Bank Arcade, so I think he's at the new "flagshop" store.  He seems to know a bit about the Imate range....
