Hello everybody,

I just got this phone last week and everything was great. All of sudden this morning I turn on my phone and it started going bonkers. I constanly receive messages either "App. closed MsvServer" or "Main closed MsvServer". I don't know what to do and if thats not enough my phone keeps on shutting down and restarting. Could it be that I downloaded a virus.....I mean as funny as that sounds is it possible to download a virus on the phone or could it be that one of my applications has been changed. Please someone help me with this. Has anyone ever received such messages. Thanks a million.

Yossi

What applications have you installed since yesterday?

Have you tried turning it off and removing the battery?

Any memory cards? Tried turning it on without the memory card?

The only applications I installed on my phone is the Opera Web Browser and that was about 2 days ago. However, I did download rintones from www.free-ringtones.eu.com/free_polyphonic_ringtones.html.

Anyways I took your advise and restarted my phone without the memory card and "viola" IT WORKS. Now I put back my memory card and all looks good!!! Not a single error message (Considering the fact that I was getting them from every push of a button)

What do you think caused the problem? I really appreciate the help and I hope this can help others that panic like me from this sort of problem ;))).

Hmm... Perhaps an invalid file left behind in the card, causing this problem? Not sure. Could be lots of things. But I'm glad it did work for you!

Hello I also have 6600 and I get Application closed MsvServer error message when I get my mailbox.I always download programs and the other things via e-mail and for a few days I can not delete the e-mail messages and there is a normal Sms message in drafts folder I couldn't even delete it.
the programs that I downloaded via e-mail:
handy file
ringtone studio
smsreminder
worldclock
imageplus
imagespy
handyphoto safe
Opman

I think world clock made it in that way.
