Hi,

I am looking for a source to order software for Windows Mobile 5.0 device.

My method of payment is Paypal.

I contacted Handango today and asked about Paypal, they only except Paypal in US, I live in Canada and have a Paypal account in excellent standing.

Not only will they not except Paypal payments from outside US, they do not seem to have a reason.

Question to Developers:

How much business are you loosing because companies like Handango and many others do not support alternate payment options, you are missing out on 135 million people who have Paypal accounts!

Message to Everyone Outside of US:

When will US companies learn that there are 5 billion plus other people around the world and start thinking globally about there businesses!!!!

Message to Handango:

Hire call center people who can think and offer other assistance instead of offering no solutions, some "customer centric" companies take your information/suggestion and forward to their management, NOT HANDANGO!!!!!

If there is anyone who has a company that sells Windows Mobile 5.0 software from most developers like SPB Software House or Ilium, please respond.

Sincerely

Golfman32

One thing you can try is purchase those prepaid credit cards and use those. Once the amount loaded on the card is used up, simply discard of it. There are some of these cards in the supermarkets in the U.S. and Canada, and here in New Zealand there's a VISA card available on NZ Post offices.

There is also a service on the Internet that will provide you with prepaid credit cards (just the number) and you can load from your own account - or have a new number generated each time, to prevent fraud. Check https://www.epassporte.com/ for example...

Thank You for your input.

I have a Paypal account and it has a balance.

Paypal is safe for merchant and consumer.

I cannot understand why Handango has Paypal service set up in US, however, will not extend to Canada or other countries.

As far as prepaid VISA, the companies that offer the service are almost loan sharks with the fee's they charge.

A $20 software downlaod would be $40, its not worth it.

Again, if any merchants have a site that sell PDA software and accept Paypal, please advise.

I do not plan to use Handango unless they add other countries to the US where they offer PayPal.
