According to the manual I can directly synchronise to Exchange Server 2003 over IP. Has anyone done this? Any tips & tricks or warnings?

What I want to setup with Exchange 2003 is that my ISP continues to be used for sending and recieving email, i.e. we have 2 addresses, husband@bigISP.co.nz & wife@bigISP.co.nz, and I want to send and recieve email via the ISP SMTP/POP servers, can this be done with Exchange 2003 (currently using LANSuite to perform this role, but it can only send via one address, i.e. all outgoing email goes out as husband@bigISP.co.nz)
First, sending...
On your Exchange Server, configure it to use SmartHost, which is just telling the server to relay everything going out through the ISP's SMTP instead of using its own internal SMTP service.
The e-mail address will be the default e-mail address associated with your account in the domain.
For incoming, if the Exchange Server is not the primary MX for your domain (i.e. collecting e-mail from an ISP) then you will need a pop3 connector. I use POPCon to collect e-mail from Paradise every two minutes and post into the mailboxes here.

freitasm: POP settings? To grab pop emails into Exchange? There's nothing like this, that's why I pointed to POPCon.

freitasm: Yes, POPCon is a service and you can define rules and more...

Point taken, there have been so many problems I have not allocated them correctly. I apear to be very close now. I have installed SBS again, with SMTP and POP3 via my ISP operational (using the connectors supplied by MS). The SSL is working from my Laptop (which is not on the SBS domain and has the SBS supplied certififcate installed), however I can not install the certificate on the JasJar, does Vodafone not allow this to be installed? This appears to be the last hurdle between me and mobile synchronisation and from this article appears that this restriction is applied by the operator http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sbs/2003/deploy/winm5.mspx.
