I was given a Samsung i320 for Christmas. I installed all the software including Active Sync 4.1 (the install detected an earlier version which I deleted). Now ActiveSync will not run, I get the following error message: "The procedure entry point CeSyncStart could not be located in the dynamic link library RAPI.dll"

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Welcome to Geekzone... It looks like there's a conflict with old files. Try this:

- uninstall ActiveSync
- reboot
- manually remove any RAPI.dll file from your PC
- reboot
- install ActiveSync and follow the instructions on screen.

Thanks, that got rid of the rapi.dll issue but now I am getting "The proceudre entry point CeSvcGetStringW could not be located in the dynamic link library CEUTIL.dll" shall I follow the same procedure?

You can try. It looks like those files were locked... Please reboot before uninstalling ActveSync (and don't plug your Pocket PC).

That worked! I followed the same procedure for the second .dll and re-installed and now it works fine. As a precaution I also uninstalled MITS Wizard. Thanks for the help.
