I'm looking at getting a 7100t from the US - it's unlocked (legally).

A few questions for those of you that may be more familiar with the devices:

(1) Do I have to use the VFNZ Blackberry plan?
Or can I just use a data plan with my current voice plan?

(2) Can I use the push email service from Consilient? (http://www.consilient.com/push/consumer/)
It's only US$5 per month (I realize I'd have data charges on top).
I've spoken to customer services @ consilient and they seem to think there would be no problem, but thought I might run it past everyone here 8-).

(3) Can I use the web browser on the Blackberry?
Or do I need to be on a Blackberry plan?

Anything else I should be aware of?

Thanks for your help.

Nigel H.

After reading quite a few websites last night it appears that it is possible to setup an APN for the device (and thus programs that needs internet access can be used).

Would be still be interested to hear from anyone that might have used the Consilient email push service - sounds like a good way to get email from my gmail account without having to check it regularly 8-).
