I´m in Bolivia for about a month and wanted to get my internet to work, but nothing I´ve tried works. I have a Blackberry pearl 8100, with a T-mobile account in the US, but I suspended it while i´m on this trip. I´m using the local service, a company called TIGO. Calls work just fine, but I cannot connect to the internet. The display says ¨Data connection Refuse" with lowercase "edge." The local company says that the need to input an IP address, and ANP number and a WAp gateway, But in making numerous calls back to the states (tmobile technical service) no one has been able to help me. Could someone help me access these setting please?

The Blackberry uses a special APN, and if the mobile operator does not provide access to BlackBerry servers then you might be out of luck.

Ask TIGO if they offer BlackBerry. If they do then you might have to enable the SIM card to use the BlackBerry services, and they have to add your device's number to their database. Otherwise you won't have access...
