I've had an ongoing battle with Vodafone NZ for the last two months over my purchase of an Imate Jamin pda phone.  Turns out that approximately 10% of these things have problems with the internal speaker and break down.  Got the first one replaced free of charge by Vodafone....then a month later the second one did the same thing.  They will replace it again but I'm not happy getting another Jamin.

One Question, I'm fighting them to get a different phone but what should I go for.  I like the sound of the JasJam which is a little dearer but with quirky keyboard and hopefully better sound.  I Like windows mobile 5 so does anyone know of other brands of smart or pda phones that will work on Vodafone NZ.  Ohh what to do with dear old Vodafone.

All the new Windows Mobile devices, if not locked, should work fine here in New Zealand. But then you won't have warranty - and since you have already used it then you know it's an important thing to have.

I just got JasJam about a month ago, moving up from Imate Smartphone2. It's great and small and text input is easier with keyboard and it's not quirky or anything, very comfortable to use. I have tried Palm Treo 750v, nice device but the QWERTY thumbboard is so tightly packed that it doesn't feel ergonomically nice to use as single hand device. Jasjam fits my hand well as single hand device.

O.k.   finally got the Jasjam, thanks Vodafone NZ...for FINALLY coming through, and what a difference.  Jasjam is a far better quality
machine compared to the jamin.  More responsive, (but I guess it should be).  All up I guess it dosen't feel as cheap and junky.

I'  happy.  Thanks for the help folks.
