I *heard* through the grapevine that us 6600 user may need to upgrade firmware in our phones for it to work with vodafones wap 2.0 gateways

It doesn't sound right. A lot of people are using it with Vodafone WAP 2.0. Check this thread.

John,

I notice your running wireless links ...

Im quite interested in what gear you guys use ... I currently myself have some old Lucent WaveLan Industrial gear .. that im keen on linking ...

We have a 100m/bit fibre connection in town and I have line of site to one side of town .. just no line of site to our building / office on fort st.

Are you part of the nzwireless.org group . ?

milo tins are really handy for aerials, I use only GPRS as its all free for me, but my brother Mark and mate Andy are quite onto it. I will message you there Email address
