Hmm if you are already with 2degrees on a pay monthly plan can you swap over to this one and keep the number?

Absolutely! When you move plans you keep the same number.

If you're on Prepay, a month by month plan or in the last 90 days of an existing 24 month or 60 days of a 12 month term there shouldn't be any extra fees to pay.

Call Care on 200 and they should be able to advise or PM me your number and I can check. Please include your DOB and address (for authentication).

Cheers

It's not an official one but the "my 2degrees" app is awesome. Live tile updated with account data and a well integrated interface that could be a native app, works great.
Can't wait to see the ascend w1 in the flesh. Hope it lives up up to the specs.

Looking at the specs, it will only work with Vodafone or 2Degrees in NZ.

According to GSM arena the frequencies are:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 900 / 2100
HSDPA 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100

I thought XT ran on the 850 and 2100mhz frequencies?

2Degrees is selling the 3G/UMTS/WCDMA 900MHz/2100MHz model which is only good for Vodafone or 2Degrees in NZ.

XT uses 3G/UMTS/WCDMA 850MHz/2100MHz band. Its mostly 3G/UMTS/WCDMA 850MHz for XT which the 2Degrees model does not support.

This is actually quite a powerful phone for the money. Has 1.2ghz dual core CPU which in conjunction with Windows Phone 8 delivers a pretty snappy user experience in most cases.
