Copied over from the Ngauranga speed camer thread:

johnmo:

Unfortunately my wife's new Nokia 920 will not connect to the cars Bluetooth and she is not happy about that.Cry Apparently a common problem with WP8 and many car s built in Bluetooth. She is not happy about that but it means I get the new car more often. Smile

Is this a common problem? I ask because just this morning I had an email re: the boss's new 820 not connecting well to his in-car bluetooth. We updated him to the 820 from an HTC Trophy which worked fine.

Have dug around on the subject and it seems WP8 has "issues" with Bluetooth and various Car systems. It is not related to older systems in the cars either.

Sometimes it drops out, sometimes only certain functionality works and in others it just will not pair.

In our case the Nokia 920 works perfectly with any Bluetooth connections we try except our car. Yet the car works perfectly with all other phones we have. WP7, droid etc (have not tried Apple)

With this one it pairs, but sound quality is rubbish - everyone sounds like Darth Vader, caller & callee.
