I bought a Haicom Bluetooth Slipper and GPS and I am having trouble getting it to work.

When I connect to the bluetooth device through the software using port 6, the bluetooth explorer page will appear, I select the HAICOM BT GPS and it will connect as an "Activesync serial port" and not as an SPP slave. If I go to the status of this connection, it will say "NOT CONNECTED" and there is no signal shown in the staus bar.

If I go to BT manager, and connect to the paired device manually without using the software, it will connect by SPP slave and in status will show that it is connected and a signal is shown on the signal bar, but I cant use this connect with the software as I have to start the bluetooth connection with the software.

The software I am trying to use is Tom Tom Navigator. I have been trying to test the connection with WinFast Navigator.

The GPS is a 303MMF and this does work as a CF device (in a 2210) and it came as a pair in the box. (I know about the issues with certain haicom cf gps's not working).

The shop i bought it from had the same problem with an Imate phone but he updated the bluetooth drivers and it worked.

Is there any driver updates for this model or for PPC??

I have some screen shots if anyone wants to see as this is driving me potty.

Many thanks in advance.

Ben.

Hi,
same problem with a iPaq 4150 and Fortuna ClipOn GPS.

Devices are paired, but the GPS doesn´t transmit any data.
A bluetooth connection to my notebook with the Fortuna works perfect. I connected via hyperterm and the Fortuna sends data with 38400bps.

My navigation software is TomTom 2 with the latest GPS software 2.09

Thanks for any help,

Jörg

I heard there is some compatibility problems if you have a hardware keyboard for some reason.
