HI,

Im having an annoying issue with My new Treo 700 and active sync that came with it.  I wish Id never removed Active sync 4.0 form my pc.  MY Treo "Connects" to activesync but will NOT create a partnership.. Just sais GUEST everytime and wont let me creat a parternship for it.  When I hook it up to my other work PC which still has 4.0 activesync it asks straight away if I want to create a partnership.

Im going to presume its a 4.2 issue.  I cant see anything different about my pc and the other one.  Both run on xp with same security measure.  Helpdesks where no help.  I ony got a PDA to sync with outlook and if its not going to work I may as well return it.

Thanks for any help.  Or if anyone has a copy of Active sync 4.0 please let me know where i can get it online.  Im going to ry going back to the old activesync

Thanks

Hey.

I got angry and fixed it.

If anyone else has the problem the solution is to go into The Reg Key

HKEY -Local- Machine/Software/ Microsoft/ Windows CE Services.

Key is Guest only change binary to 0 instead of a 1.

Im a computer novice and it worked for me.

Thanks to jcoffey from a treocentral discussion forom archive.

YAY!
