Hello,
I have a PDA HP RX3700. I have installed several programs, for example the TomTom5.
When one finishes the battery the programs erase.
No longer I can accede to the Tomtom5.
Know somebody form to solve it?
Thank you very much.

Welcome to Geekzone... This is normal for devices running Windows Mobile 2003 and older. Information used by running programs and personal data are both stored in RAM which needs power to keep working. When the battery runs out the contents of RAM are erased.

Devices running Windows Mobile 5.0 and the new Windows Mobile 6 don't have this problem because the system uses flash memory to store personal data. Even if the battery runs out the data is still stored in flash memory, like those USB memory keys.

Hello freitasm,
thank you very much by the answer. But how I update the software of my PDA of Windows mobile 3 to Windows mobile 5 or 6?
How I do it?
From where I can lower the program?

Thank you.

I don't think there's an official update available for this specific model.
