Hello, does anyone know what's the difference between WORK settings and INTERNET settings in WM5 bluetooth settings SETTINGS>CONNECTIONS>ADVANCED>SELECT NETWORK?

What is added to one that the other doesn't have?

When would I use Work settings?
When would I use Internet settings?

Those settings are not related to Bluetooth exclusively. They are for any connection via cellular line as well (if the device has a built-in phone).

INTERNET is for access to generic servers with a top level domain (TLD), such as .com, .co.nz, .co.uk and so on. WORK is used for servers on a private network where TLD don't exist, and is more likely to be at... work, and use a VPN for example.

If you are just using the Internet you can create a connection on the Internet settings, and use the same one for Work, since there will be no difference on your usage.

Thanks for explaining these settings. I couldnt find anyone on the internet who explained these settings. I did find many "How To", but no one mentions anything about what these settings mean and how they're used. I'm going to get Wireless for Dummies book to further clarify these settings. Whichever setting I use, I cannot access my pc using bluetooth. I make a connection but I can't access my pc using bluetooth. My 802.11 from my ipaq 5915 works fine. I've always had problems with bluetooth and have never been able to set up my bluetooth to where it works. I've had bluetooth devices since 2003. I always recieve a Cannot connect--check connection settings error. I look forward to this book helping as it has become an aggrevating experience. I hear many people talk about bluetooth, but I just cringe and stay away from it. I can't believe how complicated those settings can be, and with no one to explain how to connect and use the settings, it doesn't help much. The manuals say nothing nor do the Help files on these Ipaqs. I've tried your tutorials, but you fail to mention what connection settings(Internet/Work), and what adapters to use to make this all work. As for NEW connections, what do you put in the phone area when your asked for the phone number to use to make the connection? You create a New Connection using Bluetooth and there isn't a phone number to use? That's as far as I get as I don't have a phone number to type in. I'm using a Bluetooth TDK dongle.

Thanks again.
