Hi all,

New to this forum so hopefully provides me with some answers.

I just got a nokia 6600 and had a few queries -

A.
How do you repeat a calender note ? You can repeat for a certain period of time ie.. DATE X to DATE Y but this repeats the note on everyday between those to dates. How do repeat once a week or once a month etc...

B.
How do you place BIRTHDAY reminders in the CALENDER (like the NOKIA 7250). You can do it in the CONTACTS section under a contacts name but is there any functionality which enables you to enter it into the calender with an alarm reminder?

C.
How do you copy a calender note?

D.
Whats the best IR/BLUE TOOTH PC connector to buy. Since these are the only ways to connect this phone to the pc what should one look out for ???

E.
Can you have mp3 as your ring? I.e. a song ... i heard someones phone go off the other day and it had the voices to song .... is this possible with this phone?

Any help would be great

Cheers

Canon

I can only reply to D. I can recomment TDK, Bluetake and Belkin. These are good brands, and available on the Internet.

Hi Canon - i have a 6600 and have wondered about the very limited calendar functions as well. I had a nokia 7250 and thought the calender on that had heaps better functions.

Maybe there is an app out there for series 60 nokia that will provide everything?.

I don't think you can play mp3 audio unless you have a mp3 player installed (there are a few out there). I have a nokia media converter which converts mp3, wav and video files into AMR & True Tones (WB AMR). This works better than mp3 in my opinion because it stips out about 85% of file size...leaving lots of space on phone.

Once converted you can use as ring tones etc. Download from here http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/0,,034-63,00.html

I got a 3com bluetooth adaptor and it works good - heaps better than I.R

Hi

I used the Nokia Multimedia Converter 2.0 to convert music and video files. I put them on my phone using Bluetooth dongle. My questions are:

- When the Bluetooth incoming message appears in my inbox, how can I save the attached file, e.g. a video clip? It seems to be stuck on the incoming message itself, with no way to separate the two. Meaning the file stays in my inbox and not the gallery section.

- How can you make the incoming message go to memory card instead of phone memory? This is best for very large files?

Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks

Forget the first point, I have figured this one out already.

As for the second point, can anyone answer this one?
