Hi there
My partner has just moved to New Zealand from the United States. He has a T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve 9360 which is sim locked. T-Mobile was taking too long to provide the unlock code so he purchased a code from globalunlocks.com which didn't work (the '10 entries left' counter just went down to '9 entries left'). Another code purchased from freemyblackberry.com also didn't work.
Finally T-Mobile replied with a code, which didn't work. He called T-Mobile and they have him a different code again which also didn't work. They've just supplied, via email, a third code which again didn't work. They're now stating it's because of the 2degrees SIM card he's using, which they say is 'not supported', and it's not because the codes are wrong. This doesn't sound right to me though, as surely the SIM card inserted is irrelevant to whether or not the unlock code works.
Given he's now down to '1 entry left' and T-Mobile is being severely unhelpful, is there anywhere in Auckland we can take the phone to get it unlocked or is it a lost cause?
I've triple checked and the method of entering the code, the IMEI etc are 100% correct.
TIA!
