This guy thinks, with the retirement of Steve Balmer, Windows Phone is dead.  He certainly doesn't like Microsoft and especially Balmer.

He makes some pretty forthright comments.

some valid comments in there, if you can get past all the ranting at the start. boy does he hate Microsoft, the company.

I don't agree that the platform is dead however, there are still gains being made - especially in emerging markets, where there are still potentially billions of handset sales to be made.

this new article/report gives WP over 8% in Europe which surprised me: http://www.zdnet.com/ios-up-android-down-in-the-us-as-windows-phone-hits-eight-percent-in-europe-7000020117/

it also, interestingly, showed that IOS was rising and Android falling in the US market (WP up 0.5% to a not very significant 3.5%)

Yep, the guy sure does hate MS.

But what I find just as funny is how he sees himself, see below:

"This blog is where that commonly-used term 'Jesusphone' originates from"

Really? That term was getting thrown around a lot in the early iPhone days by a lot of people.

Anyhow, I think Windows Phone will continue. I think the more obvious point is that there do not need to be three current versions of Windows which aren't very compatible; Win 8, Win Pho and Win RT.

Guess which one I think will go to the chopping block?

This comes from The Register:

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/05/08/microsoft_metro_analysis/

Basically the argument is that RT should go and Win Pho should be developed as a Phone/Tablet OS instead.

I'd go this way but who knows.

Didn't anybody tell you I was a hacker?
