I have a lumia 1020 on telecom

since the upgrade this morning i haven't been able to send or get pxts. When i get one rather than it been delivered i get a txt saying "media content in this message" and fails to download - i hold down on it to view the error and it just says "it couldn't connect to network to download message" The same thing happens when i send.

the network is getting the mms settings from the sim automatically and was working literally before i updated. I notice 4g is now enabled (unsure if it was or not before update - im using a telecom nz new phone)

My wife had problems on her 920 with MMS with the same symptoms. I set up a new profile using internet.telecom.co.nz rather than the default wap to fix a problem with Internet Sharing not working and MMS is now working as well. Maybe try that. I made sure that all the MMS settings were copied across so it was only the APN that was different.

If you go to setting -> access point, hold down on Telecom NZ and select view.
What are your MMS APN settings?

Go to the Store and download the app "Access Point" (if it is not installed). Use it to configure your device.

First, what "upgrade"?

Second, have you activated the APN in the Access Point app?

No idea "what" exactly it was, was pushed to phone this morning and installed in about 15mins, tonight i got updates for the new Nokia cam.
the access point app (nothing in app store but according to sys app push it must be the correct one) I'm using is the one under settings that has an active telecom one under there at the moment and mms was working literally 5 or so mins before the update came through.
