Washing machine 1
N95 0

Will give it a dunk in some alcohol and dry over night but not holding out too much hope.

Oh well, wonders of disposable income I guess.

Oh well new N95 sitting in front of me now. For those thinking of buying from parallel imported, prices are going up $100 on monday.

Old N95 actually turns on fine this morning and boots up and makes calls etc, display isnt working however but then I noticed it was still a bit damp inside. Will try it again in a day or so after some more drying

I have both my phones insured via the respetive Telco, for $6.95/$6.99 a month each. The excess is alot nice than my contents policy.

Oh no! that is just Whoops!!!!

PULL battery OFF the phone, leave it off and leave in warm, dry place with back cover off for at least a week! no shorter...

(top of hot water cylinder.)

I am happy to look at it for you/boardwash free-of-charge if you pay postage there an back (I'll get a nice detailed PCB board-scan out of it) but bear in mind, the camera and speakers among other parts are probably stuffed.

Hey no worries Fraktul Tongue out

Good luck with it anyway, Ive had nokia's fully submerged in water for hours before, and they have come out working as if nothing happened!

I have had previous Nokias take a tumble into puddles before and been fine after a good drying out on the hot water cylinder. I think you may be right regarding the speakers and camera however paradox as these are a lot more fiddley on the N95.

Cheers for the offer too, may take you up on that next week. Smile
