help me please,

im a bit of a computer dud but i desperately want to connect my nokia N70 with my pc. its running on vista home premium 32bit and the most upto date nokia software is on it. ive also downloaded the correct drivers etc but still doesnt work.

it works with xp on a friends pc so i know its not the phone.

i only have a usb so its the only way i can at the moment, but everytime i plug in the usb it searchs for the drivers, downloads them from windows update and eventually says;

''windows encounterd a problem installing the driver software for your device

windows found the driver software for your device but encounterred an error while attempting to install it.

nokia n70 usb phone parent

the name is already in use as either a service name or a service dispaly name''

after saying this it says it is connected in none compatible mode.

what on earth does any of this mean and how do i fix it? please help and be as basic in your explanations as possible.

thanks alex

I've had no trouble at all using the latest Nokia PC Suite on Vista Business with an N70. Perhaps try uninstalling PC Suite, ensure you have the latest version (currently 6.83, which has Vista support) and install the software again. PC Suite has the drivers included so don't download the separate driver package.

I guess another driver could be causing problems. Have you tried contacting Nokia for support? I'm using an HP notebook.
