Wow! Just got an e-mail saying that I've been nominated and accepted for a Microsoft MVP award for this year's MVP program.
If you don't know about the program, go have a read. The overview says "The Microsoft MVP Program is a worldwide award and recognition program that strives to identify amazing individuals in technical communities around the globe who share a passion for technology and the spirit of community. Microsoft MVPs are recognized for both their demonstrated practical expertise and willingness to share their experience with peers in Microsoft technical communities."
If you don't know I also use some of my time posting in some newsgroups: microsoft.public.pocketpc, microsoft.public.pocketpc.wireless, microsoft.public.pocketpc.developer, nz.comp, alt.cellular.bluetooth and a couple more. Yes, I also post now and then on comp.sys.palmtops.pilot, in some of the Bluetooth questions.
It doesn't mean I have to talk exclusively about Microsoft products. Instead it is a recognition of work, peer support, and participation in Microsoft's user community. I think this is a nice gesture.
Thanks!
