So I purchased a 625 for $271? + postage, from an importer in Auckland.  Seems like a good deal, great looking phone; decent size screen, pretty good feature set, etc.  I got this for a mate.

It arrived with what looks like the Telecom NZ ROM on it (including Amber) - great!

Except that when you press and hold the Windows icon to go 'Voice mode' - I get this...

a) Can anyone decipher that please

b) Is it possible that the ROM language is unchangeable and that it needs re-loading?

Not sure how to proceed.

I've contacted the Aucland supplier, but they have not responded yet.

Cheers,  Duncan.

Yep, I meant to add that I checked every Language setting I could goddamn find - it's set to English.

While I was in the Language settings, I deleted all the 'other' languages and left English (American) (I think it was).

But cheers for the link, I'll check all that out when I next get hold of the phone.

Thanks, Duncan.

Thanks Regs, obviously didn't look in *all* the places, but yep, got the Speech Language set and problem sorted.

Cheers,  Duncan.
