No idea of when or if. Initially Vodafone New Zealand was planning to release an updatd Windows Mobile 5.0 to enable HSDPA earlier this year (about January). The next information was the plans had changed and they wanted to enable HSDPA with a Windows Mobile 6 release - but no information on when...

Palm has announced the Treo 750 will have a Windows Mobile 6 update, and all Treo 750 (not 750v) are HSDPA enabled from the factory.

Oki doki...whats the difference between the 750 and the 750v? isn't the v just v for "vodafone"?

Anyways, I  hope the upgrade comes b/c I'm so bored with this phone :-) which is actually a good thing. I try all the after market software thats out there from SPB and SBSH etc, but I end up going back to t he standard software on the 750v b/c it just works good.

The 750v is branded Vodafone and sold by Vodafone. The 750 is sold by Palm or other mobile operators. That's all. In terms of hardware they both support HSDPA, although the 750v came with that disabled...

Er.... Vodafone provides HSDPA services in the main centres. It's as fast as CDMA EVDO, and in a good day you can get about 500 Kbps average download speeds.

This has been out since September 2006...
