Hello,
I stumbled across this forum whilst trying to have my Palm Tungsten T5 connect to my ASUS A8JM notebook. It seems that Mauricio Freitas seems to know a fair bit around here so I am posting this hoping that he can shed some light on this issue :)
I have tried to search here, but most posts seem to be about people connecting with their desktop computers with a USB bluetooth dongle.
I bought my ASUS A8JM a while ago now and I recently won a Palm Tungsten T5 PDA on ebay. Now, it's a reasonably modern PDA that has bluetooth built-in, as does the A8JM. I am trying to browse the web on the Tungsten using its blazer browser. It is well documented that it's possible to have a bluetooth connection to a PC to enable browsing on the PDA. I am wondering whether there is anyone else on these forums that has an A8JM and has tried to get the bluetooth component working with some sort of PDA. The bluetooth component does work, as I can use the native Toshiba bluetooth software and use one of it's features to transfer a file via bluetooth to the PDA. But I have been having some troubles getting the PDA to browse. I personally believe that it is the Toshiba bluetooth software that is not allowing me to access the web on the PDA. The Toshiba bluetooth software doesn't have a setting that allows me to select 'Network Access'. The Widcomm guides all show the 'Network Access' configuration and I believe that this is the vital setting that it required. I tried to uninstall the native Toshiba software and tried to install Widcomm as I've heard it is great, however when I installed it I think it was meant for a USB dongle version of bluetooth. (or perhaps someone can supply a link for the internal bluetooth version)
Thanks In Advance.
