I've installed UC Browser but the UA string it sends seems to be the same as the stock Internet Explorer 10... Also noticed this on Maxthon browser.

Are they only different UI using the same rendering engine?

Chrome on iOS actually is its own WebKit engine, not using the built-in Safari WebKit. The only thing that iOS mandate is, it has to be a WebKit engine.

My biggest beef with the standard browser in WP is that it doesn't reflow the text when you zoom the text size.  The only way to read the page is to scroll left and right as you read each line. This for me is a big issue and something I would not expect to happen on a high end phone.

The choice of browsers is pathetic.  My favourite mobile browser is Opera which I've used since the Palm Pilot 515 days, unfortunately Opera don't make a browser fro WP.

Strange, because this is one reason I stick with Windows Phone: most of the pages I visit reflow nicely, while on Chrome for Android the text goes tiny and I have to scroll left/right to read the text - unless there's a hidden setting somewhere on Chrome to say "REFLOW THE DAMN THING".

Well, perhaps I'm missing the point somewhere. None of the sites I visit on the 920 reflow. I must admit I don't use it much as it's now my wifes phone. I've just checked the New Zealand Herald and Stuff sies, they don't reflow.

Geekzone does, as well as many others I visit. Is it set to mobile or desktop view?

No Geekzone doesn't reflow either.  It doesn't matter whether or not the mobile or full site is accessed on Geekzone or the other sites.

Are we talking about the saem thing?

Edit: Phone is set to use mobile site as preference
