There is a new version (1.1) of Nokia Maploader. Strangely, after downloading it, the individual country maps no longer show ie there is a heading for Australia/Oceania but no seperate map for NZ and the total download is 84.8mb. Maps are the same, no improvement to the NZ one. Downloading seemed faster but writing to the data card was very slow.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

I have a question regarding downloading the maps:

After I downloaded many countries with the Maploader how can I see that I have them on my N95?

Where can I check what maps I downloaded?

Just a wee word of warning regards the new maps software - it no longer features the simulation option, which was essentially a free way to get navigation without having to pay for the voice guidance. If you like that feature then maybe hold off updating.

Any word on the MGMaps stored maps progress anyone?

Thanks peejayw, that was the last I'd heard also. Given how much trouble you currently have to go to in order to set up stored maps I think I'll wait a little longer. The Google maps really are beautifully detailed though. . .

Ahhh, this explains a bit, the old loader is just so unreliable. Though i'd prefer NZ maps only at 5MB rather than absorb precious video  capture space with an  84MB download.

I like the Simulations to maybe i'll rip it apart instead of upgrading and see if I can hack the voice guideance into it. I would pay if it were a reasonable one-off fee but the timelimits and exorbdant asking price is just going to promote piracy!.

There is a separate map for NZ. If you choose Australia/Oceania on the left side and then click on the arrow right next to the plus sign it will show the separate map package for Australia and NZ.
However you cannot choose Western and Eastern Australia any more.

I am downloading Australia now as I will be there next week and its coming down much much faster then before.
23% of 77MB came down already in 5 minutes.
