Hello,
         I purchased a HW6965 but it has no GPS software on it. I would like to run GPS software with NZ maps What is the best way to go ?

Try Google Maps Mobile - it's free and works pretty well on the 6965 - even does driving instructions. Note that it downloads maps on the fly, so it'll only work when you're in GPRS coverage, and ensure you have a data plan on that connection.
