Ok, I have gone through several hoops trying to get this to work, but it still doesnt want to work for me! I have set the dialing number to *99***5# (I cant delete the settings for my old provider on my phone), I have set the APN to www.vodafone.net.nz, I have gone through every tiny detail I can, but it still doesnt work!

Can anyone help?

You mean you can't delete the settings but you can add new ones, then? How are you connecting the Palm and the phone, via IR?

Ya, IR. I have all Vodafone's settings put in, WAP WWW and PXT. I just have to use CID 5 instead of 2. Would that have anything to do with it?

Also, whenever I put in a Username, it says on the phone something about GPRS commands not supported. When I dont have a username, it says on the Palm incomplete setup.

From my previous experience with Palm OS and some Sony Ericsson phones, try not using any specific phone drivers on your Palm. Also use username voda, password fone, although it shouldn't need anything there.

Also have a look on this article. Although the connection is over Bluetooth there, the configuration is very similar, including the Init String that you may have to use.

Ok, so another few of questions:

  • Do you have GPRS enabled on this account?
  • Can you access Vodafone live! on this phone?
  • On the CID#5, do you have the Vodafone configuration for WAP or for Internet?

    1) Yes, Vodafone checked that several times.
    2) Not only Live, but any other WAP site.
    3) I have it set to internet (APN: www.vodafone.net.nz)
