Hi,

I am trying to do activesync wirelessly using 1X network. I have been able to use OMA and PIE, however, I want to Activesync directly to Exchange 2003 server.

I am using Windows Mobile 2003, Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003.

My first issue is set up. It seems hard to move between wireless activesync and cradle activesync (this may be a user head gap error on my part.)

When I am at my home office, I want to activesync using activesync to my desktop. When I am out of town, I would like to activesync using wireless connection, at this time it is 1X, could be 802.11B in future.

When I set up activesync with Exchange server, I receive a Internet_7 error.

Do I connect to Exchange server directly or to Proxy server.

Also, do I use HTTPS:// or msstd:, in some instructions, the msstd: was listed as Principal name for proxy server.

2 Questions:

Is there an easy way to move between activesync with desktop and activesync with Exchange 2003 server.

Am I missing something with the setup to have Internet_7 error.

One last question, when setting up activesync for 2 computers, do I need to identify that I am syncing with 2 computers on both partnerships (home computer and office computer), also, on my home computer, I have 1 Exchange account plus multiple POP accounts on one Outlook 2003 client/Exchange, do I need same for other computer if I connect with 2 computers

Help.

Dave

Good questions. I'll ask someone at Telecom NZ to have look. They have a CDMA network, and I'm pretty sure they've gone through this.

Also, you might want to have a read on this article for some insight and caveats on using ActiveSync to Exchange servers...
