I've just set up sync from my mobile to my Exchange Server. Inbox is sync'ing fine, I can send email from my mobile and it goes into the Sent folder in the Exchange, but the Sent Folder on my mobile is empty all the time. What I really want is to see, say, the last 7 days Sent items.
In Messaging Options I have tried both checking and unchecking "Keep copies of sent items in Sent folder" - it makes no difference.
Any suggestions please ?

Welcome to Geekzone... Your sent items are actually stored in the Sent Items folder on Exchange, but not on the device. To have those on the device you will have to check the box to select the Sent Items folder to be included in the synchronisation.

You can open Inbox, tap Tools | Manage Folders and then check the box in front of Sent Items. You can also select other folders if you need - just remember that this will of course use storage on your device, so make sure you have just a few weeks back being synchronised.

I found this post and was wondering if it was possible for me to set the E-mail to automatically retain the messages on the device for 7 to 14 days. As of now, it only retains the last 10 messages.

I am using Windows Mobile 5 with an Exchange 2007 server.

You can change ActiveSync to keep one day, three days, one week,  two weeks, one month or all messages (not recommended!!!)...

On your device open ActiveSync, tap Menu | Options | Email and tap the Settings button. That's where you check this option.

The device is pulling down all of my inbox E-mail from 2 weeks back, but not my sent items.

In this case, open Inbox, tap Menu | Tools | Manage Folders and select which folders you want to sync. Then open ActiveSync and tap Sync to force the list to be updated on the server. This will bring down the e-mails on the checked folders.
