Hi all,
I have FS Loox 720 Pocket PC, desktop PC with Win XP SP2 running and Match USB card-reader w/Bluetooth dongle integrated.
I can surf web through Bluetooth ActiveSync, transfer files, all that stuff.. but when I try to access shared folders on my PC, I get a strange error. I establish PAN connection, both PC and PPC get own IP, but they both can't ping each other.
I have switched off all firewalls and antivirus (in fact, i haven't got any except windows firewall), and I use Widcomm stack.
here are settings that I use:
PC:
Network Access Service : Allow other devices to create a private network with this computer
Bluetooth Network Adapter:
IP: 192.168.0.1
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: left blank
DNS: left blank
PPC:
IP: server-assigned
DNS: left blank
Normally after establishing connection my PPC gets IP like 192.168.0.xxx
I use vxUtils to look at PPC "ipconfig" and that's what is says:
IP Adress: 192.168.0.126 (for example)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1
Primary DNS: 192.168.0.1
DCHP Server: 192.168.0.1
When I try to lookup IP of my PC by entering its hostname on PPC (by vxUtils), it says that PC IP is 192.168.0.1 and if my PC is connected to Internet it even finds that second IP too.
But when I try to ping my PC (by IP or hostname) it is "request timeout", same on the other side.
I've read all bluetooth guides and I still can't understand, where is my fault. But I feel that I'm very close to solution..
What should I do? Thanks in advance.
