My RX3115 allowed me to set-up password protection...I had entered a strong alphanumeric one and confirmed it.
I had set it to come on after 1hour.
Now, it will not accept the password!
After typing in the password using the keyboard and tapping 'OK', nothing seems to happen.
I leave the RX3115 on my desk and then come back to it later, the 'Hint' window comes on...suggesting that I have entered the wrong password.
I have tried a reboot but to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like the screen is not calibrated. You might have to try a hard reset...

Thanks for you help.
I have restored my RX3115 using my last backup, June19-07.
Here is what I did:
a.) Hard reset on my PPC per instructions in my User's Guide.
b.) connected my PPC to my computer.
c.) connected as "GUEST" through ActiveSync, as the hard reset had removed any profile in the PPC.
d.) click 'Tools', click 'Backup/Restore'.
e.) click the 'Restore' tab, click the 'Restore Now' button.
f.) select the profile the PPC was last restored as, not the 'Guest' profile...

Lessons learned:
1.) Do not set password, change any settings or install any software on the PPC unless a backup has just been done
2.) Backup to a removeable media card like SD as backup and subsequent restore would be more robust...there would be fewer steps and can be done on the run (an SD card weighs much less than a laptop).
3.) Backup more frequently than once-a-month especially if the PPC is used daily.

THANKS AGAIN!
