I wonder if anyone has successfully connect a Tungsten T3 to a Nokia 6585 (CDMA) phone via the I.R. I have tried several combinations, any suggestions what I would use as a connection string.
Hello, did you get a reply that enable you to connect the phone, would it apply to connecting a laptop to the Nokia 6585 via infra red??
regards

The good news is that you can configure your NK 6585 on your palm by using the following init string: +CRM=1;+CSO=33
This should be placed in your new connection and it should work.
Now the bad news... The performace is a little sluggish. Is good enough to get you through your email and light browsing, but for some reason, when you try to hotsync with your PC remotely, it will time out and the connection will be dropped.
I don't think its a modem issue because I tried it with an iPaq and a laptop using XP and Linux and it works pretty good. I can use ActiveSync on my iPaq with out any problems.
If someone knows of any work around for this, I would GREATLY appreciate it.
I'm contacting Nokia regarding this issue and if I get any positive results, I will post them asap.
