Hi, I have had a new Dell Axim 5 for about 2 months. My memory is getting low. I haven't been able to get an understanding of the memory for the Dell. Is the secure digitol card like a memory card? Can I move programs that take allot of memory onto it and then use the program from the card? I understand the way computers work, but even though I sent for an additional book " How to Do everything with your Dell Axim" I am still confused.
Thank you, Jean Brown
PS I am going to England in a couple of weeks and have gotten the plug adapter do I still need a transformer as power is 240?

You can move data files from your Pocket PC to a SD card. Programs can't be simply moved. The safest way is removing the program and installing. If the installer detects a memory card you will see the option "Want to install on default location?"

In this case you can select No and choose either the Main Memory or the Card.

You can also install programs into Built-In Storage. Keep in mind, however, that although BIS is preserved after a hard reset, the program's shortcuts, regsitry entries will most likely be stored in main memory. This means you will still have to reinstall programs originally installed into BIS after a hard reset.
